Arvoredo Nacional
Our goal? To absorb and reduce carbon dioxide (CO₂), mitigate climate change, improve the city’s thermal comfort, and increase relative air humidity. Tree-covered areas improve mental health, prevent soil erosion, and provide shelter and food for various animal species.
During the six months of the rainy season, we will plant trees in strategic locations such as schools, parks, and medians. During the six months of the dry season, we will carry out targeted plantings for citizens who enroll in the project.
Monitoring and Evaluation
A questionnaire will be provided during the first year to monitor the tree survival rate. We will also run campaigns on environmental awareness dates:
- Brazilian Biome Day (February 2)
- World Biodiversity Day (March 22)
- World Environment Day (June 5)
- Tree Day (September 21)
To participate in the Arvoredo Nacional project, you must reside in the Luziânia or Goiânia region.
